A usual Tuesday can say a great deal.
Families often have little visibility into how an older adult is doing unless they call, visit, or something goes wrong.
Usually Home is being developed to help families understand whether an older adult is having their usual day, without relying on constant check-ins or intrusive monitoring.
Usually Home learns what is usual for that person. Rather than demand attention, it comes to the family only when something meaningfully changes.
A usual day.
Much of everyday life unfolds at home. Usually Home looks for answers in signals from technology already present there.
The phone is a natural starting point. Home Wi-Fi, smartwatches and other familiar connected devices can add context over time.
The aim is clearer understanding without cameras, constant check-ins or requiring an older adult to adopt a new routine.
Simple in-home hardware can be added when it materially improves an answer that matters.
Usually Labs is a San Francisco-based technology company developing products for aging and independence.
Everything we build serves one end: helping an older adult stay in charge of their own life while enabling the people who care about them to help without taking over.
We are testing Usually Home with a small number of families. Join the waitlist and we will contact you when another place becomes available.
